چکیده
Abstract Fusion-bonded and low-diluted overlay welded coatings are frequently very thick (>1mm). High-speed laser cladding is a novel process capable of producing thin fusion-bonded with high coverage rates low heat input. In this study, for the first time, high-speed was used to fabricate relatively Ni-based reinforced chromium carbides onto low-alloy structural quenched tempered steels. Obtained were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), as well backscatter (EBSD). Mechanical wear properties tested Vickers microhardness measurements three-body dry-sand rubber wheel abrasion tests (RWAT). It shown that produces 0.2–0.3-mm-thick coatings, which consist ultrafine-substructured hypereutectic M 7 C 3 structures coarser primary Cr 2 particles. Coatings hardness up 1300 HV 0.05 exhibited resistance in low-stress abrasion. developed can be alternatives hard-chrome plated coatings.

متن کاملMicrostructure, Wear Resistance and Oxidation Behavior of Ni-Ti-Si Coatings Fabricated on Ti6Al4V by Laser Cladding
The Ni-Ti-Si composite coatings were successfully fabricated on Ti6Al4V by laser cladding. The microstructure were studied by SEM (scanning electron microscopy) and EDS (energy dispersive spectrometer). It has been found that Ti₂Ni and Ti₅Si₃ phases exist in all coatings, and some samples have TiSi₂ phases. Moreover, due to the existence of these phases, coatings presented relatively higher mic...
